The Shuttle Bus option is ideal for those who don’t like the price of a taxi but still enjoy the ease of getting dropped off at their hotel or backpacker’s hostel or choice. When travelling alone, the cost of shuttles works out to be cheaper.
There are two different shuttles. The first takes you into Canberra CBD and operates between 1:00 am and 11:40 pm, departing every hour or so. The cost for one person is AUD $18.00 one way, and return is AUD $30.00.
The other shuttle takes you to Fremantle. This shuttle runs between 6:30 am and 9:50 pm, departing every 60 to 90 minutes. The cost for one person is AUD $33.00 one way, and return is AUD $58.00.

Tips when using the Canberra Airport shuttle services:
1. Buy a ticket for the Airport Connect Shuttle Bus at the kiosk in the arrival mall, however, be prepared to wait.
2. Find the general location of the bus departure point and wait inside until shuttle departure.
3. Ride all over Canberra until you arrive at your hotel. Be prepared – your location may be stop 1 or stop 10 for the bus – there is no guarantee regarding what time you will arrive.
